Kayak trips and water parks immediately come to mind. Not in this case!

Luckily for us – the State of Israel is well preserved and full of everything, from hiking trails, tourist parks, paths, mountains and hills, pastoral valleys to natural lakes, quarries, rivers and beautiful streams.

Here is a list of recommended water springs for personal and home use.

The first of which is the fishing pool of Kibbutz Masilat – an open aqueduct where water flows from Nahal Amal and is cleaned into a small concrete pool. It is very pleasant to dip in the pool water, because the water is a little warm, with a constant temperature of 28 degrees. After the dip in the pool, it is recommended to continue to the nearby Mezzafar (walking distance), from where you can see the fish pool and the Great Valley. Suitable for families and couples, the stay is short, suitable for all seasons – especially in summer.

The second – Hidden Lake at Gaaton Quarry – the perfect retreat after staying in a family B&B.

The lake was discovered completely by accident – after quarrying a stone in Gaaton, a layer of clear groundwater was revealed.

The water flows in shallow streams with small waterfalls that converge into a beautiful lake. The area near the falls is clean and attractive, and the water is deep enough for swimming in natural waters. Recreational activity for all seasons – a little chilly in winter, but perfect for a summer vacation.

Another reservoir we focus on during the summer is the three gardens – or Sakhana in Arabic:

The name Sakhana in Arabic means “hot” – this is because the pool is warm all year round – up to 28 degrees.
